Effectiveness and efficiency of cash transfer programming in humanitarian response by establishing a specialised roster on Cash & Markets (CashCap). As part of the CashCap Roster, a structured capacity building and mentoring scheme is being implemented to increase the number of available and trained experts on Cash Transfer Programming within the humanitarian sector.
Job description
- SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management and further development of projects that aim to strenghten the NORCAP global contributions in the areas of cash, markets, vouchers and digitalisation of aid.
- Maintain donor relationships with funding partners such as ECHO, DFID and MNFA and assess donors and funding opportunities within assigned thematic area.
- Development of new initiatives and programs within the assigned thematic area, project design, development and M&E.
- Maintain strategic relationships within the CashCap Project, such as the CashCap Steering Committee and Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP), and carry out consulatations with donors, UN agencies, Clusters, NGOs, Standby Partners and other relevant institutions and networks for the project.
- Conduct field mission(s), as and where necessary, for advocacy, planning and management in relation to the thematic area of responsibility.
- GENERIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development of action plans and strategy documents related to Cash and Markets programming.
- Collaborate across the section to ensure joint goal achievement, and participation in relevant working groups.
- Contribute to effective cooperation between different Sections/Departments of NRC.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Manager/Adviser experience within the humanitarian field.
- Experience from project management, project design, planning and budget processes. Experience with personnel administration and administration, preferably from international work.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Humanitarian programme experience within Cash and Markets programming from a field level, and sound knowledge of global needs and trends within this area of expertise.
- Capacity building experience would be a strong advantage
- UN experience would be a strong advantage.
- Experience from working at strategic level and from leading processes.
- Experience from managing staff.
- Experience from working closely with donors
- Proven experience in financial and narrative reporting to donors.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, knowledge of French an asset.
- Knowledge of standard ICT office support systems.
