What we are looking for
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly motivated,resilient and dynamic Institutional Partnership professional to provide administrative support to the Institutional Partnership Section in Oslo as well as Institutional Partnership Advisers (IPAs) in Representation Offices on donor-related issues and processes.
.This position is located in Oslo and is providing support to all Departments, Regional, Country and Representative Offices in NRC. This support includes developing global strategies for resource mobilisation; developing funding prospects with existing and new donors; streamlining NRC’s procedures, processes and tools related to resource mobilisation and grant management; providing internal training and help-desk support, and more.
The Institutional Partnerships Coordinator’s role is to provide administrative support to the Section in Oslo as well as to Institutional Partnership Advisers in Representation Offices. We have a dynamic and high performing team, and we are looking for a motivated person who is keen to enter into the aid sector and work in an international environment. Cultural or language knowledge from one of NRC’s country operations worldwide is a plus.
What you will do
- Support the Institutional Partnership Advisers with the administration of existing framework agreement, including the annual global proposal and report processes.
- Support the IPAs with applications for new framework agreements, donor pre-qualification processes, and strategic stand-alone project proposals. This includes assistance with drafting, coordinating and compiling information; and assisting with format checks and language editing.
- Support the IPAs in their role as internal help-desks. This includes ensuring that the donor pages on the NRC Intranet are continuously updated, and responding to enquiries related to annual plans and annual reports under the framework agreements (NRC internal guidelines, donor rules and regulations).
- Coordinate with Programme Advisers quarterly on grant information and results on the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) database and monitoring system as required by donors, and support reporting to OCHA Financial Tracking System (FTS).
- Serve as back up for Institutional Partnership Advisers

What you will bring
- University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably at bachelor degree level
- Minimum 2 years of work experience from a humanitarian/development organisation and/or from a donor administration, either at Head Office/capital or field/embassy level
- Documented results within administration, and preferably also grants management and finance
- Knowledge of Project Cycle Management, especially of the logical framework approach
- A conscientious and structured person with strong planning skills, including computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and service mindedness
- Fluency in English: excellent written skills are required.
