NCA’s Department of International Programmes (DIP) is divided into 5 divisions, several teams and a small staff unit in the Director of International Programmes office. The Division for Partnerships and Strategic Solutions (PASS) is responsible for DIP’s global strategic processes, organisational learning, programme development and partnerships. The Methods, Evaluations and Learning (MEL) Team in PASS, is responsible for facilitating quality data- and information management, organizational learning, and systems- and tools development for M&E.
We are now looking for a Senior Advisor to the MEL Team to manage a knowledgeable team of professionals and lead the further development of NCAs systems and routines for data driven programming and results-based management. This is a permanent position, based at NCA’s Head Office in Oslo. In addition to a permanent contract, the person employed will be offered a temporary contract as Team Leader for the MEL team with line management responsibility.
Job Description
- Organisational lead on NCA’s global results framework and results-based management
- Lead, allocate tasks, and manage resources in the MEL team
- Strategic development of NCA’s M&E related routines tools and formats
- Streamline NCA’s procedures, processes, and tools related methodological approaches
- Develop, innovate, and improve NCA's standards, systems, and methodology approaches in line with industry best practices
- Build capacity of global NCA staff on tools and methods for quality data collection and management
Qualifications
- Master’s degree within social sciences or economics
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience from the development sector with a focus on M&E
- Documented experience with conducting research or administrating data collection process surveys, preferably from field work in a developing country context
- Relevant leadership experience, either with people or processes
- Experience with representation, either in Norway or internationally
- Solid digital literacy and quantitative social science method skills
- Must be fluent in English and Norwegian
