As part of the strategic ambition a “Great Organization to Work For” and following the request at the 2018 Global Strategic Seminar (GSS) to invest in staff learning the Learning & Development (L&D) Unit has been focusing on the foundations of L&D with a revised Global Induction Program and the development of our on-line learning offer. The vision ahead is to have an L&D Unit at global level that functions as a center of expertise: it is there to develop tools that are a relevant response to very diverse situations on the ground and to provide courses that respond to the expectation that staff take some responsibility in their own development. The L&D Unit works to optimize the capacity to train staff in NRC country programs, both by supporting the development of course facilitator skills and providing expert guidance on course design. The L&D Unit aims to deliver this through a strong partnership with L&D colleagues in the four NRC regional offices.
We are looking for a Training specialist with proven experience of learning event and training course facilitation, leadership development in particular. You enjoy working at developing training standards, trainer competencies and at implementing these standards.
A specific responsibility in this position is to build a flexible pool of trainers internally. identify the internal prospects and train them to deliver training on regional- and country level in alignment with our strategies.
