NCA Emergency Preparedness Roster provides NCA with the needed human resources to ensure that qualified and trained personnel are readily available to deploy to NCA’s humanitarian operations. Our emergency preparedness roster provides support capacity to NCA field offices as well as partners within the ACT alliance and/or UN agencies.
Members of the emergency roster sign a 2-year Letter of Intent with NCA. This Letter of Intent states that within a two year period roster members will be available to be deployed when called upon. When considering candidates for the roster, we will emphasize experience, professional background, availability, language skills, and personal suitability.

Availability: Accepted members must be able to travel on short notice and stay in the field for at least three months.
Job description
Establish and maintain contacts with local offices, international and local partners or other relevant partners/clusters regarding the storage and forwarding of goods
Plan, design and implement logistics systems for efficient reception, clearance, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment
Undertake procurement activities in accordance to internationally accepted standards and donor policies
Participate in programme planning and advise on logistics considerations
Participate in the development of CASH based responses
Ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of logistics operations
Qualifications
Work experience at national/international level in logistics management
Relevant education in areas directly related to logistics operations
Experience from humanitarian work is an asset
Very good knowledge of English both written and spoken
Knowledge of other languages, in particular French, but also Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic is an advantage
Personal qualities
Good interpersonal skills and team oriented
Ability to network and establish good relations with staff, partners and government
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Constructive, flexible and solution focused
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Must be able to handle high workloads and stressful circumstances
Must be able to live and work under demanding physical and mental conditions
