Project Coordinator – ECW (Education Cannot Wait)
Would you like to be a part of our international work for children’s rights? We have a 12month vacancy as Project Coordinator – ECW (Education Cannot Wait) in the Institutional Partnership Section within the International Program Department.
The Institutional Partnership Section is responsible for developing and maintaining SCN’s strategic relations with institutional donors and provides support internally to SCN departments, other SC members and Save the Children International (SCI). The Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing and establishing the SC account for ECW, including but not limited to the development of Standard Operating Procedures, tools and internal coordination mechanisms related to fundraising, donor relations, policy influencing, technical support, and advocacy.
Key tasks:
- Account Management - Develop ECW Account strategy and Standard Operating Procedures building on lessons learnt from existing account structures
- Coordination - Develop and put into place a system for collaborative handling of the account
- Support, coordinate and potentially chair relevant internal working groups and task forces (SC and SCN) including account, advocacy, humanitarian and technical SC staff
- Capacity building and knowledge management - Lead on SC internal capacity building on ECW in relation to donor engagement and compliance on donor requirements
- Develop an ECW engagement plan in collaboration with Save the Children members, including key priority areas for supporting and strengthening the partnership
- Ensure, support and coordinate Save the Children’s representation in relevant external working groups, task forces, NGO networks and at meetings with ECW and other relevant stakeholders
- In addition, it is expected that the project coordinator supports the overall deliverables of the Institutional Partnership Section as needed and instructed by line manager
Essential qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience from a humanitarian/development organisation and/or from a donor administration, either at HO or field level
- Documented results in fundraising, including developing donor strategies and plans
- Significant experience in coordinating partnerships, at field or HO level
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build strong and collaborative networks
- A conscientious and structured person with strong planning and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with fluent written and spoken English
- Flexible, willing to share information and take up varying tasks
- Commitment to Save the Children values
Desired context related skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of Education in Emergencies programming and Education Cannot Wait
- Prior experience with Save the Children account management
- Strong networks already in place
- Experience in facilitating trainings and workshops
