Norway: Funding advisor (Francophone countries)

Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is looking for a structured and systematic team player, who can support and quality assure applications, contracts and reports to institutional donors. The position is based in NCA's Head Office in Oslo, and the person employed will be part of a team supporting NCA's offices in Francophone countries.

The contract is permanent, with commencement 01.May 2017

Job description
• Map, analyse and plan funding opportunities for NCA's country offices in Mali, DRC, Haiti and Burundi
• Develop quality proposals in close collaboration with programme staff, finance staff and partners in relevant country offices
• Manage processes around applications to institutional donors like ECHO, EuropeAid, USAID, UN agencies and bilateral donors
• Quality assure reports to donors • Monitor contracts for compliance
• Capacity development of NCA staff and partners

Qualifications
• Relevant formal, higher education in e.g. international development, administration, management or business
• Experience in international development; knowledge of approaches and terminology
• Experience in developing concepts and writing proposals for institutional donors
• Understanding of results-based management, project design, and project cycle management
• Knowledge of institutional donor regulations
• Fluency in English and French, spoken and written, is a requirement
• Experience working in multi-cultural/multi-national teams
• Experience living and working overseas is an advantage
• Norwegian language skills are an advantage
